Day 4-10
Discovered that I had a cousin deployed in Haiti as part of the UN contingent. I've never met him so decide to pay him a visit with Brandon. We are fed and we are happy after a few days of no sleep and power bars.
A new team of docs fly in and we are able to visit some of the more devasted areas. We visit delmas 3 where a tent city has been set up. Olearn really quickly to change bandages and assist the other docs. It's really eye opening and disturbing.
Alex and myself have to go to promess a UN med supply depot we hitch a ride with the first guy we pull over and he takes us there, it just so happens that his office is directly across from the promess compound. We need to head back so we flag down us army humvees and we get given a ride back to bojeux park. I haven't mentioned that bojeux parc is a old kiddy playland that has been concerted into a med facility.
We decide to head back to the Pakistan UN compound ad we are so hungry. So we flag down the first reasonable looking vehicle and we are given a ride and then get lost. The 3 Haitians taking us are totally drunk on rum and keep mentioning that they will kill us. We are looking for a place called Cajeux but the pronouciation of this place gets us into trouble. We eventually find the spot thankfully and have a spendid meal again.
