Haiti. Bojeux parc

Today I finished the rebuilding of the shower stalls and built shelves for the docs out of material salvaged from the building structure that collapsed during the earthquake.

Prior to today this trip has been an insane ride, here's a brief day by day breakdown.

Day 1
Departed Chicago after paying AA an additional $600.00 for all the checked in luggage. Arrived in Santo Domingo. Dominican Republic and our contact Todd forgot to pick us up. We met Alex and Brandon who had flown in from CA and asked if they could join us. We decided to head to a hotel with all our luggage that included 10 large boxes and 4 suitcases of meds supplies. We went to boca chica and checked into the Hamilton hotel the seediest most nastiest place you have ever seen.

Taxi - $80.00
Hotel rooms - $150.00

Day 2
Trying to get get a hold of Todd with no luck. The 4 of us decide to try and get a ride into Haiti. We get a price for $600.00 but we manage to knock it down to $300.00 but just as we are about to leave Todd calls and so we head to his hotel. We meet Todd and his new Haitian friend who met him at Miami airport. This guys wife was raped after her vehicle rolled over during the earthquake.

Day 3
We finally head out at 3.30 am as we need to cross the border into Haiti during the day time as the are instances of hijacking.
We get to our camp at 9.30am. Alex and Amjad start working the clinic and Brandon is the pharmacist.
